    Remedi SeniorCare is currently looking for enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to join its Patient Accounts team.

    Responsibilities

    • Processes all admission demographic and billing information and ensure that it is complete before sending to other departments for medication order entry, processing and delivery. Ensures that medication orders and doctor information is received. Contacts facility for missing information
    • Verifies payer status and ensures receipt of insurance cards and Pharmacy Enrollment Agreement.
    • Adjudicates any initial third party claims and addresses any coverage issues prior to order processing, in conjunction with pharmacist and claims management. This includes, but is not limited to, prior authorizations, additional documentation or follow-up needed with facility or physician.
    • Process five day supply alerts for accounts created when Patient Accounts wasn’t staffed and follows up in obtaining the payer type, having remaining supplies filled, and rebilling/combining charges.
    • Coordinates with Claims Management and Billing for prior authorization and non-payable follow up.
    • Processes daily census related to admissions, discharges/deaths, room changes, and payer type changes.

     

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Sets up and enters any new customer accounts that are brought on service. Works with account management and on-boarding team to ensure all resident information is received and entered prior to go live date.
    • Establish relationships with appropriate staff in customer facilities to further ensure that timely information is received on new admissions, census changes and discharges.
    • Processes and completes responsible party letters for prior authorization.

     

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Familiarity with insurance and claims is preferred
    • Minimum of one year of experience in patient demographic entry and/or medical patient intake preferred.
    • Excellent general computer skills / typing skills

    Schedule: 2:00pm - 10:30pm (includes rotating weekends!)
