  • Overview

    The System Analyst will work closely with end users to help trouble shoot any issues that they encounter, as well as assist in the development/documentation of best practices for the clinical applications. The System Analyst will also work closely with 3rd party software vendors to address issues that Remedi associates are experiencing in various applications.


    • Works closely with application product owners to assess and discuss requests for new processes and or new capabilities within 3rd party software
    • Work closely with 3rd party vendors and IT Operations to troubleshoot issues and discuss upcoming software releases
    • Assess new software releases for impact on business operations and technical environment
    • Assists with defining and documenting functional and non-functional requirements to create consistency across enterprise systems.
    • Designs and implements new methods, procedures, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the company. 
    • Provides detailed documentation of moderately complex system specifications for maintenance and upgrades, including system scripts, system installation procedures, system backup and recovery techniques and system test methods.  
    • Creates ad-hoc reports for pharmacy personnel related to various clinical applications in order to provide prompt decision making capabilities to management
    • Captures technical test cases for integration with 3rd party interfaces.
    • Captures sequence diagram and topology diagrams to illustrate system flow.
    • Prepares system documentation for operational use and supports operational tests. 
    • Arrive at possible solution alternatives factoring in gap resolution, functional areas, acceptability of solution to user community, technical feasibility and efficiency
    • Analyze problems and provides troubleshooting during deployment, identify viable solutions, and determine best course of action 
    • Customer orientation - Builds relationship with stakeholders and vendor partners.
    • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and be a self-starter 
    • Must be able to multitask


    • Experience working with appropriate operating systems, hardware and software 
    • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Office, Visio and MS Project. 
    • Experience working with relational databases to facilitate systems analysis
    • Must have experience in design, development, testing and evaluation of computer based systems.
    • Must possess specific experience in the analysis and design of business applications on complex, large-scale mission critical systems, including experience in database management concepts.
    • Ability to quickly assimilate and understand the core functionality of information systems used within the company 
    • Ability to execute troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to problems associated with the systemof responsibility 
    • Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs 
    • Knowledge of healthcare, EMRs, and HL7 a plus.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Powershell scripting a plus
    • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members 
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Two or more years of system analysis or systems development experience
