    Responsibilities

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, production and operations floor, which may include; Fulfillment, Inventory, Electro-Mechanics and Maintenance departments.

    • Management of the Fulfillment Operations to meet day-to-day operations in the area of Paxit automated dispensing, bulk fulfillment and staging
    • Responsible for the hiring, training and disciplinary functions associated with fulfillment, inventory, electro-mechanics and maintenance
    • Responsible with achieving department goals in volume, production, quality, customer service, completion of daily orders by run time deadlines
    • Monitors staff performance for productivity, accuracy, and quality. Working with fulfillment supervisors, takes appropriate steps to maintain staff performance levels are at or above standards to include retraining or performance improvement programs
    • Analyze equipment, software and process flow on an ongoing basis. In coordination with automation and integration personnel, provide recommendations for improved process efficiencies and optimization of equipment and software
    • Work with appropriate engineering staff to insure efficient use of Electro- Mechanics as well as proper maintenance of equipment to include the documentation of any mechanical or software issues that may need to be addressed
    • Prepares and conducts department’s employee performance evaluations, along with conducting coaching or warning sessions
    • Identifies and implements opportunities to improve operations including, but not limited to, cost reduction, productivity improvement, increased capacity, improved quality, enhanced service and best practices workflows
    • Leads and participates in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements.
    • Coordinates with other departments to include but, not limited to, Pharmacists, Call Center, Order Entry, Billing and IT Support.  Deliver and inventory control, to achieve daily production and services goals
    • Complies and enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures
    • Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices
    • Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • College degree in business or health care desired. Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook required. 
    • Pharmacy technician certification is required

    Experience:

    • Working knowledge of commercial automation/dispensing modalities and/or manufacturing processes/production operations. 
    • Experience with budget and staffing management.
