  • Overview

    The IV Technician Supervisor is responsible for the management of all day to day workflow, operational needs and problem resolution

    of the Infusion department. This position will adhere to the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, state and federal guidelines.


    • Direct supervision of  department technicians.
    • Creates staff schedule.
    • Processes bi-weekly payroll.
    • Manages IV buying for drug, medical supplies, and office supplies.
    • Manages assets and IV infusion devices.
    • Manages purchasing initiatives and contracts.
    • Handles nursing contracts and compliance.
    • Manages 797 Quality Control standards for accuracy and compliance.
    • Responsible for invoice/AP processing and approval.
    • Provides monthly KPI for senior management.
    • Attends quarterly CSI meetings.
    • Supervises equipment tracking process.
    • Assist with interviewing process and hire appropriately qualified staff for infusion.
    • Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered.
    • Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered.
    • Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.



    • High School graduate or equivalent required.
    • Current National/State Pharmacy Certification
    • Basic computer knowledge skills required, must have basic understanding of medical terminology, math and analytical skills.
    • Minimum of one (1) year working as an IV pharmacy technician in a Long Term Care pharmacy, hospital, or other health care pharmacy preferred.
