The Network Administrator is directly and/or in tandem with other team members responsible for the installation, implementation, administration, support of servers, phone systems, storage devices, and networking equipment.


  • Fully supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading corporate customer’s networks and in house servers
  • Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications
  • Installs a wide variety of computer hardware equipment
  • Identifies when software licensing needs to be obtained and installs software of moderate complexity
  • Recommends standard software that will meet customer needs and assists the Network Engineering team as needed.
  • Provides hand-on and remote support for tier 2 end user support
  • Resolves trouble tickets, monitors systems, installs patches, writes and/or modifies script, backup and restore processes and security procedures
  • Installs, implements, maintains and supports distributed and centralized hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring
  • Safeguards network security and business continuity activities by adhering to IT best practices
  • Creates and updates system and network documentation
  • Analyzes data for application environment(s) for trouble-shooting purposes
  • Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to support documentation needs
  • Troubleshoots procedures, system standards, and departmental documentation
  • Researches, assesses, purchases hardware and tracks technology hardware, software, licenses, and contracts




  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field and five plus years’ strong hands-on professional experience on Windows, hardware, software and applications or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • 1-3 Years of Network Administration



  • Knowledge of IT operations best practices and Project Management
  • Ability to work in a change controlled environment
  • Experience supporting a 24x7 operation and On Call rotation
  • Strong ability to perform technical analysis, technical support, and troubleshoot problems/issues
  • Experience with Server 2008, 2012, Windows 7 and MSOffice Suite troubleshooting and repair
  • Experience with Virtualization technology and administration
  • Background, including experience and knowledge in networking, network architecture and WEB support, TCP/IP, routing, DNS, Voice IP, & VPN configuration
  • Understanding of Virtual Infrastructure (VMWARE preferred), SAN technologies, and physical server hardware, familiar with HP servers
  • Ability to work directly with hardware and software vendors to diagnose, implement and support their products with Cisco router and switch experience, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other technical staff, clients, and vendors
  • Excellent attention to detail, decision-making, prioritization and self-managing skills
  • Ability to travel to other Pharmacies as needed
  • Approximate travel 10-20%
