Become a trusted advisor of the site leadership and a resource to the employees for HR related guidance.  Deliver a broad range of human resource related activities and guidance at one or more long term care pharmacies, promoting organizational development and employee satisfaction. Ensure that policies/procedures related to benefits, general compensation, staffing, employee relations as well as new hire on-boarding/training initiatives are executed in a consistent manner that is in alignment with  Remedi SeniorCare standard HR practices. 


  • Drive talent acquisition activities in order to ensure staffing needs are met within time-to-fill guidelines.  Working in conjunction with the Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist and site leadership to screen, interview and evaluate candidates identified for entry level, professional and technical job openings as well as intern roles and contractor needs.  Build and deliver all job offers.  Build a bench of talent for future needs.
  • Ensure all pre and post-hire processes are handled in a consistent, compliant and timely manner that is aligned with the Remedi SeniorCare standard HR practices.  Support the coordination of new-employee orientation and on-boarding activities.  Coordinate parallel activities for agency temporaries, contractors and independent consultants.   Maintain all employee records electronically, to include but not limited to new hire forms, performance reviews, job/salary changes, Personnel Action Forms, and termination paperwork. Enter all non-salary related changes into the ADP HRIS/Payroll system.
  • Proactively identify Employee Relations concerns to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws, standards and state/federal government regulations in order to eliminate legal exposure.  Provide direction and support to employees.  Support site leadership with counseling/directions related to progress discipline and employee performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Workers Compensation, FMLA, Benefits and Unemployment.
  • Champion/reinforce Remedi’s corporate mission, vision and values.  Coordinate employee recognition programs and Town Hall meetings in accordance with company-wide employee engagement and communication initiatives.
  • Own the annual performance evaluation process for the pharmacy sites.  Counsel site leadership on the development of SMART goals as well as reinforcement of feedback and performance tracking. Ensure the annual review process is completed on time for all staff with meaningful feedback and goal setting for the next review cycle.
  • Deliver and/or coordinate training initiatives in order to ensure operating efficiency of site leadership with regards to HR processes (i.e., new hire orientation, HR forms and protocol workflow, Performance Improvement Planning, the Performance Review process and other HR related activities).
  • Perform exit interviews for every terminating employee.  Complete the compliance exit interview form at time of exit.  Identify development opportunities for leadership and eliminate compliance risk.   Analyzes data points from exits, identify patterns and provide feedback to the VP of HR.  Ensure the exit process is completed, as outlined in the exit check list.  Makes recommendations regarding corrective actions and/or continuous improvement where necessary.   Represent the Company on all unemployment claim hearings.

Other Responsibilities:

    • Work in conjunction with corporate HR to provide guidance to site leadership on compensation related activity (i.e., support  new hire salary determination, assist in the process of writing job descriptions, determining salary changes during review process/promotions, etc.
    • Maintain department records and reports, to include corporate compliance, I-9s, Asset Protection Agreements, electronic copies of Personnel Action forms and OSHA documentation. Assists with the preparation of the annual EEO-1 and OSHA reporting.
    • Participate in staff meetings to maintain pulse of the site(s) and impart HR guidance.
    • Maintain site organization chart and ensure accuracy of site HRIS data.
    • Perform other site-based incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline, and a minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience (minimum two years as an HR Generalist).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all functions areas within the Human Resources discipline.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Work, Excel and PPT.  Technical acumen and analytical skills to research and analyze various types of data information.  Knowledge/experience with HRIS systems desired, but not a requirement.
