Overview

The Pharmacy Operations Technicians responsible for the daily fulfillment of medications as well as the facilitation of an efficient inventory flow during the packaging, stocking, and replenishment processes. This position will also function with and assist any other areas in the facility as needed with regards to pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for understanding and managing the daily functions when called upon, scheduled, or as necessity arises with regards to the operation of automated packaging and dispensing equipment as well as the fulfillment of traditional prescriptions and the staging of all times be shipped to our customers.
  • Responsible for adherence to all policies and procedures in relation to all operations and equipment.
  • When required or directed, responsible for the efficient replenishment of the Paxit dispenser.
  • When required or as directed, responsible for monitoring inventory flow throughout shift and make any appropriate adjustments.
  • Responsible to alert management or technicians of any workflow backlogs and operational problems with the inventory, packaging, automation, and replenishment process.
  • Responsible to conduct or assist in the training of new staff.
  • Perform technician assignments as requested by the pharmacy management.
  • Actively contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered.
  • Participates in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements.

Schedule: 1PM TO 10PM ROTATING 1 WEEKEND A MONTH

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current National/State Pharmacy Certification
  • Basic computer knowledge skills required, technology background or PC software courses and the use of automation equipment beneficial, must have basic understanding of medical terminology, math and analytical skills.
  • Minimum of one (1) year working as a pharmacy technician in a Long Term Care pharmacy, hospital, or other health care pharmacy preferred.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Must have strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills, ability to problem solve.
  • Must be dependable with ability to be flexible, function independently and works under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines.
